if he were in my place.

I have weaknesses, and I am quite aware of what they are. However, I have been given many gifts, talents, and blessings that are almost impossible to really count or to name due to the fact that I, because of my weaknesses, do not always realize when or how the Lord has blessed me. I develop faith with every righteous decision I make. I understand that through simple obedience we may be blessed with eternal mansions of joy, and of love, with a knowledge of things that we cannot attain here in this life. I strive to help others, for that is how we can truly help ourselves. I am humbled almost daily as I remember who I am, why I am here, and what divine potential I have as a child of a loving God. My patience wears thin, but only when I allow it to. I know that I once chose to have the ability to choose: and with that agency comes, of course, an opposition in all things. God loves me, that's why He allows me to pass through afflictions, hard times, and despair. God loves me, that's why He would never leave me to do it alone. I don't know what He knows, but I know that He knows what is best for me. Covenants are real and promises are made to be fulfilled in the eyes of the Lord. Sometimes it's the simple things that make great things happen. Simple things that may not be popular to the World. Simple things such as trust, honesty, and hard work. It's the simple things that complete a man. Families are genuine: prized above all, for they are evidence of the ministering of angels. According to men, records were meant to be broken. According to God, records were made to be kept, to be shared, and to be treasured. "To accept the Father would mean to leave nothing undone at arriving at personal perfection." However, I am not perfect. Christ suffered for us. Christ suffered for me. I willingly accept Him as my Savior. I hold virtue over many things. My hope rises above all things. And I am utterly convinced that love is essential in this eternal plan of happiness. I must show love to my God. I must show love to myself and to my family. I must show love to my enemies, to my friends, and to those I do not yet know. I must show love to all, for that is, what He would do, if He were in my place.
